Welcome to String Along!  

Our story begins with a 12-year-old boy who loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, and anything to do with yarn.  He spent so much time at the local yarn store over the next fourteen years that when it closed in 2016, he inherited the inventory.  It was packed up and placed in storage while he contemplated next steps.

In 2020, the two founders of String Along met.  While getting to know each other and working on various projects together, the subject of the yarn came up and the business was born.

Whether you’re an experienced yarn-worker or are just picking up your first crochet hook or set of knitting needles, we’re glad you’ve found us and we’re here to help you in any way we can.
